thin lun compression rate

i want to determine the compression rate for compressed thin luns used for filesystems. an example:

a thin lun with 2Tb user capacity has compression enabled and shows a consumed capacity of 1Tb and is in state "compressed". this block device is used by a filesystem, the filesystem total size is 2Tb, the filesystem is 50% full, 1Tb used.

the filesystem consumed capacity is equal to the consumed capacity of the compressed thin lun so the compression rate is zero - no space is saved by thin lun compression. is this correct?
