Celerra Replicated LUN present to VMware

Dear All,

Do anybody have VMware connectivity experiences?

I assign the Celerra Replicator iSCSI LUNs to VMWare,
and tried to modify VMWare LVM parameter.

1. LVM.EnableResignaturing
2. LVM.DisallowSnapshotLun

What is the correct setting for above configuration?

And found VMWare Data Store Name was sanp_xxxxxxxxxxx.

Can I use Celerra Replicator to perform data migration without inventory Guest_OS again?

Thank you for any input.

Best Regards,
Dennis Dai

Just Rescan, and get the original disk state.

Re: Celerra Replicated LUN present to VMware

Dennis,

i had similar experience when i migrated VMFS LUNs from one Clariion to another using SANCopy. SANCopy is block based copy so it copied VMFS header to the other array and when ESX admin tried to discover that volume, it would show up as a snapshot. So he ended up re-signaturing the volume. Take a look at this blog for more details:
