Celerra and Nagios?
Hi,
is anyone using Nagios http://www.nagios.org/ to monitor his Celerra ?
I would appreciate some details on how you are using it and how you did the integration.
thanks

I would also be interested in learning about the solutions people have created. I'm about to start integrating our Celerra into the Nagios setup but since I'm not looking for anything predictive, I'll probably just write a plugin that uses the xml api to read the system status and hardware status.

I'm looking into setting up monitoring with OpenNMS at the moment...so if anyone wants to work together let me know as the Nagios setup will likely have a lot of the same research / trials.

I have written several scripts for monitoring an "EMC Celerra" with "Nagios" and this article will share how to monitor your own NAS environment.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I've got those graphs working now, I am also interested in graphing IO usage and network traffic. Those do not seem to be available.

Hi Tjohn,
Which application you find good for celerra monitoring, through nagios or cacti....
especially on metrics related to Data mover uptime, efficiency, network interfaces and Filesystem usage etc....
thanks
best regards
