Are the messages only occuring when you attempt to run a backup, say, with integrated checkpoints?

Can you post any of the text from the messages you receive?  What backup product are you using?  Presumably, you're using NDMP, yes?

What backup application you are using to perform the backup?

When the error message received, was there any backup activity running?

May need to get some logs from Celerra to diagnose the checkpoint failure.

Did you receive any error or alert on Celerra Manager for checkpoint failure?

Also to add -

1) Is there sufficient space available on the storage pool where the checkpoint is getting created? If no space is left in the pool, checkpoint creation may fail

2) Are there any existing Checkpoints which were not deleted after the backup was done? If so and if the old checkpoints are no longer needed, please delete those checkpoints and try

3) Also, you may consider rebooting the control station

4) Next option will be to open a service request with EMC NAS support as they can check the logs and the issue with more details.

Thanks,
Sandip
