Local copy (replicate) PFS to different pool-keeping checkpoints and remote reps?

I have a need to move a PFS to a new pool of drives.  I plan to replicate and delete the original PFS.  This is easy enough using ReplicatorV2, but is is possible to keep the snaps and exising remote replication sessions, or must I rebuild all of these from scratch?

Thanks!

Re: Local copy (replicate) PFS to different pool-keeping checkpoints and remote reps?

no - you cant copy/move the checkpoints and you will have to re-establish the replication sessions

you could avoid one replication step though

lets say you currently replicate from A->B and want to move A to C

just switchover to B->A then do a new replication B->C, delete B->A and switchover so that you finally get C->B

saves you one baseline copy

*If* the new drives are the same type *and* raidgroup (i.e. they would end up in the same system pool) you can ask for permission via RPQ to use LUN migration - but that needs carefull analysis and EMC engineering approval
