Sharedup with 2 or more CIFS Servers

Hello,

I´m doing a migration from some existing Windows File Servers to a NS120.

I copied all the data with richcopy and did the last sync and the security transfer with emcopy.

Now I want to use sharedup to replicate the share to the NS120 which works fine.

I only have one problem; most of the shares are binded to 2 or more Celerra CIFS Servers. When I use sharedup with the following option the share is only mounted to one CIFS Server:

sharedup.exe \\soure \\destination ALL /P \nas_fs /SD /FO:dump.txt

sharedup.exe \\source \\destination ALL /SD /FI:dump.txt

When I do this for every destinatino server I have one share listed more times in the share windows

For example.

share1     filer1

share1     filer2

sahre1     filer3

Can I use sharedup with more destination servers, so that I have only one line per share

for example:

share1     filer1, filer2, filer3

Hi,

I´m sorrry but i didn´t find a solution with sharedup.

My  workaround was to make one CIFS server on the Celerra and give this  "original" CIFS server some aliases with the name of the other CIFS  servers we needed. Although I gave the original CIFS server more IP´s,  respectively the IP´s of the other needes CIFS servers.

Looks like this:

share1 --> filer1 / alias filer2 / alias filer3

So share1 is accessable from filer1/2/3.

This works fine so far.

Regards

David
