I mean is it EMC Architect or as per requested by Customer ?

Node roles and the number of access and storage nodes can be set / decided by customers. The suggestion is to have a minimum of two Access nodes per cluster. EMC recommends at least four Access nodes in clusters with 8 nodes or more.
A EMC architect can be involved for the best recommendation.
