Hi Can any one please tell me about the actions we need to take when there's a port down in both Cisco & Brocade fabrics

I have Cisco & Brocade fabrics in my enviroment and i often getting confused about the steps to be taken to start troubleshoot the issues with ports. If possible please let me know about the docs or please paste the steps over here
