Compellent SCv2020 SNMP Enclosure Temperature

Hi.

I have problem with monitoring Enclosure Temperatures on SCv2020 with SNMP. I'm able to get Enlosure temperature table, including sensor location, sensor status,  but current temperature in celsius (DELL-STORAGE-SC-MIB::scEnclTempCurrentC) is empty. Firmware version is 07.01.12.002. Is there anybody who can explain me why is that ??? This is DELL-STORAGE-SC-MIB::scEnclTempTable.

Hello DJ_Dee,

If you haven’t already made a call into support, I would call support.  What we would need to do is to look at the controller’s log while we run the command to pull the temperature & see why it is not pulling the correct info.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello DELL-Sam L.

Thanks for answer. I will call support.

But this is not problem of only one storage. We have 4 SCv2000 and 1 SCv2020. All of them have this problem.

Hello DJ_Dee,

That is why we want to look at the controllers to see why this SCv2020 is not pulling the same information as your other three SCv2020 do.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Probably you don't understand me. All of our Compellents SCv20x0 have same issue. So i guess this is global problem, not only ours. All of them have almost same version of FW. Some of them are older, but differs only in minor updates.

Hello DJ_Dee,

Did you ever open a support case for this?

 Regards,

Don
