I would definitely encourage you to checkout the REST API -

You may find what you're looking for there.  I see many objects/types that I bet would be able to get what you're looking for.  Under the StorageCenter objects, see ScVolumeIOUsage, ScControllerIoUsage, etc.  Basically anything with "IOUsage".

Hello Eden2019,

The following information is found in the administrator guide on page 153 “IPMI Support for NAS Appliances The Dell NAS appliances include Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) cards. Storage Manager communicates with the IPMI card to retrieve fan speed, temperature, voltage, and power supply information. The IPMI card also allows Storage Manager to clear the System Event Log (SEL), power off the server, and reset the server.

The IPMI card must be properly configured to allow Storage Manager to communicate with it. For IPMI configuration, see the documentation for your NAS product:”

Hi,

I managed to retrieve sensors data from the SC8000 via ipmi but it does not showing disks, only:

fan

voltage

power supply

temperature

memory

processor

What about fluidfs hardware, capacity, performance iops?

can we do it via API?

Hello Eden2019,

You can use API to manage your SC8000.  Dell Storage REST API, & Dell Storage API PowerShell SDK can be used with your SC8000.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Eden2019,

Have you installed the data collector on the host that you are trying to connect to your SC8000?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

How are you interfacing to the REST API?  Did you check out the Python snippet examples in this pdf: https://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/Common/dell-storage-manager-rest-api-cookbook-3029-wp-san_en-us.pdf
