SC 4020 first config
Hi, I have a SC4020 bay and I have not the serial cable that comes with it ?? !!! Is there a way to make the first configuration (IP address management) without using the serial cable Is that I can have the cable of reference so that I can order it ?? Thank you.

You will need to contact Dell with regards to the License file, this is needed to unlock all of the features including the hard drive usage
These license files are specific to the unit and are non transferable
Dell may release the original license to you if you brought the unit second hand but they may charge to re license
When buying second hand compellent units especially the SC4020 you need to make sure they have the relevant licenses especially the core license as this is a right to use the compellent operating system

You do need a serial cable to configure the unit, if the unit is in factory shipped condition the management ports need to be defined and enabled, there is no default ip address
The below link shows what you would need

and how i cant mau license ???
