Shutdown SC5020 with Schneider / APC PowerChute network
Hi
I am working on PowerChute network shutdown.

The vcenter part is configured. Now I want to saflely shutdown my SC5020 after ESXi hosts.
I think the only way is a ssh command from powerchute
Is there a DELL documentation on this subject ? Best practicies ?

There is no recent documentation for Compellent and PowerChute. The only available document for PowerChute and Dell storage is this: https://dell.to/3STy1Ao. I can't find any relevant documentation to help you with PowerChute. Perhaps these old topics can help; https://dell.to/3h0EAnu

If youre in DSM right click on the system in the upper left and than Actions -> UPS. You can select between APC and Liebert. But dont ask what is good for or how it works. The documentions says nothing usefull about it
Btw. i have not see a entry or midrange system which can you really shutdown... also those systems doesnt have a Power ON/Off button. All EQLs, MD/ME and Compellent only have power switches on the PSUs.
When ever can shutdown such a storage it stops the connections, flush data onto the Disks and than it sits in idle and waits for powering off.
