Dissolve a meta in VMax
I need help execute command dissolve meta an display error:
# symconfigure -sid 2076 -f disssolve.txt prepare
Execute a symconfigure operation for symmetrix '000192602076' (y/ ) ? y
A Configuration Change operation is in progress. Please wait...
Establishing a configuration change session...............Established.
Error occurred while Defining change number 1:
A specified device is involved in a Remote Copy session and cannot be modified
Device 0338 generated the failure
Terminating the configuration change session..............Done.
The configuration change session has failed.

is this an R1 or an R2 device ? If yes you will need to delete that relationship first.

Hello,
Questions on Solutions Enabler, might get more answers on the Hosts Forum as well. I can move this query there if you like.
But yes, a symdev show on the device in question should tell you both what type of device it is, relationships it is currently in and its current status.

You can also check and verify it seems to me the meta head is in part of remote copy session.
Is that device is in used with RPA ?
If yes then first you have to stop\terminate the session and then the configuration change can be made on that meta device.
