SAN Migration From Brocade to MDS

Hi Guys

I am planning to migrate an old Brocade SilkWorm (2 nos in redundant)based  to new MDS switches .There is an IBM Storage(will be removed ) connected with 8 Servers 4 of them in Cluster oracle and exchange. We are planning to install the new CX4 to the new SAN and all data from the IBM Storage is to be migrated to the new CX4 box using open migrator .The plan is roughly like this

1.Install the new MDS Switch

2.Remove the Second HBA (ie from the redundant HBA) from the Brocade switch and connect it to the new MDS.

3.Connect the new clariion ports to the MDS and luns are presented to the existing servers.

4.Data migration is done using open migrator .

5.Old storage is shut down .

6.Second MDS switch is installed and the remaining connections are made through it.

Guys any body have any comments or advice .

Please Give me

Thanks in Advance

your plan should work as long as everybody involved understands the risks of running with single point of failure (one HBA).  Do you have extra ports on CX4 that you could connect to the brocade. That way you could zone CX4 storage through brocade, migrate the data over to CX4 LUNs and then swing the HBAs to MDS. This way you won't be running with single HBAs.
