SANnav appliance - X7-8 supportsave / firmware repo

Hi everyone,

we had some new Connectrix ED-DCX7-8B and I installed SANnav Appliance. I have an issue to generate a supportsave to the SANnav.

Failed to generate supportsave for the switch xxx. Reason xxx :Exception while trying to create the switch specific folders under 'technicalsupport' directory or while verifying file write permission.

I also can't upload a firmware to the repository. I think there is an issue with the permission in the appliance. Any ideas?

Regards

Hi,

I suspect you have conflict in the SSH port, between SANnav and Centos or RHEL ssh.

During the install, the SANnav installation warns that port 22 is already in use, if that isn’t change, there is a conflict and will cause issues.

Recommend to open a ticket with support they should be able to assist you.

Hi,

What version are you using? Have you tried reinstalling?

It was a conflict with the ssh port.

When you start the setup the wizard recognise that port 22 is already in use. i switch it to another port. So no supportsafe or firmwareupload works.

What have I done to fix?

1. Change the ssh port of the sshd to another port. I switched to 2022.
vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config
2. Open the firewall and check selinux
firewall-cmd --add-port=2022/tcp --permanent
firewall-cmd --reload
semanage port -a -t ssh_port_t -p tcp 2022
3. Change the port from sannav back to 22
/sannav-portal-v210/sannav-home/Portal_2.1.0a_bld028/bin/change-internal-ssh-port.sh

After that firmware upload and supportsave works fine! Thanks
