Announcement : PowerMax qualifies for Google Anthos !

It is my pleasure to announce CSI driver for PowerMax passed the qualification for Google Anthos.

Google Anthos allows creating a hybrid-cloud Kubernetes cluster with on-prem GKE instances, now connected to PowerMax technology !

The installation steps are very similar to the ones described in Product Guide to 2 exceptions:

  1. You can skip the chapters “Set up the iSCSI Initiator”, “Enable Kubernetes feature gates” & “Configure Docker service” which are already done with GKE
  2. In the chapter “Install the CSI Driver for Dell EMC PowerMax” after step 1. you select your driver version and apply a patch to the installer as follow:
    • For Anthos 1.1 & 1.2 :
git checkout tags/v1.1.0 -b gke
curl | git apply
    • For Anthos 1.3 :
git checkout tags/v1.2.0 -b gke
curl | git apply
    • For Anthos 1.4 :
git checkout tags/v1.3.0 -b gke
curl | git apply

A video showing the full installation process with GKE is available here :
