It is my pleasure to announce CSI driver for PowerMax passed the qualification for Google Anthos.
Google Anthos allows creating a hybrid-cloud Kubernetes cluster with on-prem GKE instances, now connected to PowerMax technology !
The installation steps are very similar to the ones described in Product Guide to 2 exceptions:
git checkout tags/v1.1.0 -b gke https://github.com/dell/csi-powermax.git
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/coulof/ds-iscsi/master/0001-Support-gke.patch | git apply
git checkout tags/v1.2.0 -b gke https://github.com/dell/csi-powermax.git
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/coulof/ds-iscsi/master/0001-Support-gke-1.3.patch | git apply
git checkout tags/v1.3.0 -b gke https://github.com/dell/csi-powermax.git
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/coulof/ds-iscsi/master/0001-Support-gke-1.4.1-csi-powermax-v1.3.0.... | git apply
A video showing the full installation process with GKE is available here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXnVnLCewPc&list=PLbssOJyyvHuVXyKi0c9Z7NLqBiDiwF1eA&index=2&t=0s
The support matrix is :
Anthos | PowerMax | Installer Patch | Limitations |
1.1 | 1.1 | 0001-Support-gke.patch | iSCSI only No Snapshots |
1.2 | 1.1 | 0001-Support-gke.patch | iSCSI only No Snapshots |
