A system shipping date, as provided by a Dell representative or on the Dell Web site, is an estimate only and is not guaranteed. Many times a system will ship on or before its estimated shipping date. Sometimes there is a backlog of parts from the vendor which causes the order delay. Why is my order delayed? Dell is realistically unable to guarantee a shipping date. The sales site states, "Estimated Ship Date". Even with a "Smart Selection", if there is a delay in any part from the manufacturer, this will result with a delay in the shipment of your order.
