3 year old laptop from Sears, ownership transfer
I am so upset because I ordered a laptop from Sears 3 years ago and now I need it fixed and Dell are telling me it will take 10-15 business days to change the owner information from the seller to me when I have the receipt that I can send to them and they can change the information. I am never buying a dell computer again and going to tell my friends how horrible this company is.

Thanks for posting your comments and bringing this issue to our attention. Please allow me to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. It is important that you transfer the ownership from previous owner or retailer on to your name to avail warranty services. If the issue can be resolved with troubleshooting, ownership transfer is not required but for parts replacement it is mandatory that the system reflects your name. You can also call customer care to get the ownership transferred. If you've already filled the registration form, I'd request you to wait till it is transferred.
