30 day Return policy nonsense

All I want to do is return the used laptop that I purchased 45 days ago but for some reason theirs absolutely no exception to this policy. There's nothing wrong with it and it was used when I purchased it to begin with so they won't be taking any kind of a hit on this either. I even offered to pay a restocking fee but the answer was still the same. That is terrible customer service in my opinion. Telling me there are no other options leads me to want to not purchase any Dell products in the future.

I've spoken to customer service twice now and the only thing they've done is point me to some other company they're contracted with to "trade in" my laptop for about 70% of what I paid just 45 days ago. The bad thing is I knew weeks ago that we weren't going to use it and just put off calling because of kids/work/life in general. 

If there's anyone that can point me somewhere else that may help that would be great.
