Dell phone calls scam

I've read that Dell does not share our info.. Yes the caller  had my asset tag number my email address I only use this email for Dell.. My name and phone number..  Inside job?? Or has Dell been hacked?

Recieved three calls now all saying calling from Dell tech support to tell me my system is sending out virus like data?? When I question them they give me my name phone number Dell asset tag number and make and model.. How would they know that if not inside??! I
