False Promise on Order Delay

I just got my third delay email saying that my order is estimated to be delivered on Oct 5th. This is 3 months from the original delivery date! I have never in my life received 3 separate notifications of delay after delay from any merchant.

At first my ordered was confirmed to be delivered within 2.5 week of the order. We accepted the long wait because of COVID. But, two weeks passed and I get an email about a first delay of a week. Then 2 days before the estimated shipping date, I get a second email about further delays. On this email, I'm asked to consent to this delay due to FTC regulations. At this point I decided to ask what's up, and I was told there are delays with no explanation of what is exactly causing the delay. After few days, I decided to speak to someone on the phone. This person told me my order would be expedited and reassured me that my order was definitely going to be shipped on the promised date, and proceeds to offer me a small credit of less than 2% my order value.

I understand that there are shortage in parts due to COVID, but I see that Dell has advertisement of the exact products ready for immediate shipping. The only difference is that this is more expensive than the price I paid for.

I suppose I'm just writing this in the hopes that there is someone who can possibly help out, either by telling me what's going on with my order (is it being built or not), or if there's a more direct way to interact with the manufacturing team (besides multiple expedite requests)...

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks.
