failed order
My order had no activity for a week so I called and said I wanted to know what was going on or I was gonna cancel.
The guy told me it was gonna be here monday. When I tried to track it tonight I saw there was a return initiated also. It hasn't gotten here yet. Does anyone know if it will still arrive monday or will it be automatically routed back because of the return initiated?
Any info would help. Dell has to make more of an effort to stay in communication with customers.

Buying this machine was meant to be a solution to a problem I have. I don't feel like the problem has been solved at this point. It may actually be compounded. I may have to spend more time on the phone or in chat just to know if the machine is still coming or not. Then more time finding an alternative solution if that's the direction this goes.
It's been 10 days of no information. Is this what everyone else experienced? It's not even the wait. It's the information blackout. I can't tell if this is just unavoidable or if there's a problem and I should put another order in to expedite the process.
It doesn't seem right though. It seems like Dell fudged my order and is keeping me in the dark while they rectify it so I don't go to another vendor. That isn't my intention though.
My intention for writing this isn't to **bleep** and moan and annoy anyone. I'm hoping Dell reads this and considers doing something about this process in the future.
edit:: Cheese and rice, all the problems in this forum for shipping issues! **bleep** happened to Dell?

I'm tired of this bot that comes in and pretends to try to help people when their order gets messed up because Dell has become incompetent.

This is not spam.
This is the absolute worst experience I've EVER had with a company!! I don't even know how it's possible for a company to be this bad but remain in business.
There's nothing I can do about it. Request a refund but that will surely take 6 months. So I'm stuck. It's gonna take all my willpower just to stop from destroying the computer as soon as I get it.
I could've flown to mexico, bought the parts myself from some street vendor, assembled the computer, built a photo-realistic model in 3D of the computer and rendered it, flown back to the US in the time it's taking just to get tracking info.
I would like to inform you that our logistics team is already working on this issue as this package is coming from Mexico and it takes 3-5 business days for tracking update. So we might receive update within 24 hours.

this was a screenshot of the order details showing a return has indeed been initiated, but the agent doesn't know that for some reason. The mods removed the image.
Read the Forum Terms of Use.--->>> no worries...a bit frustrated at the difficulty of this entire process. It started out bad. With my application for financing being left pending for a week while I waited for something to arrive in the mail that never showed up. I was never contacted about it. When I finally called they said a step in the verification process wasn't completed. Again, that would be nice to know. You would expect a company to get ahold of you at some point regarding the issue.

Sigh... I'm getting to the end of my rope with this company.
What happened to Dell? For crying out loud! It's like the company is intentionally trying to destroy itself.

Has anyone done this yet? Someone is just not paying enough attention to this. Dell can't possibly be ok with this state of affairs.

Now we're here in the 2nd stage o the process and everything is just as chaotic. The communication issue is still a problem. I keep thinking it's just a misunderstanding somewhere. But it happens repeatedly. It's kind of amazing to see a corporation this size be so disorganized. Makes me wonder if going forward there will be payment problems or tech support issues that eat up my time and frustrate me.
