Inspiron 3520

I have a question about a service call for the Inspiron 3520 laptop I bought in January 2013 and the usb failed and I sent it in to the depot to get fixed now I am waiting again for repairs, but all the service call says is parts ordered.  What makes it worse this model is no longer being produced and the newer models only come in one color for the case.  Which is not the color of my 3520.

I would like to know what's going on with my service call which was started via facebook and says parts ordered. but I am typing this on the laptop in question. Some thing doesn't seem right
