Warranty, USA to Russia?
Have no idea where to create this topic and haven't found any response on this obvious question. Sorry if missed it somewhere. Here is the deal: if I buy a notebook on my trip to the USA and then got back to Russia, will the warranty work for me there? Are there any certified repair centers? Can't find any decent information on that.
Would be great if you could point me the link or locations.

That requires:
1. A purchase of an onsite service warranty (extra cost); the standard 12 month warranty cannot transfer internationally,
2. That the system you purchase is sold in the market you want to transfer to (if the model isn't available in your transfer market, no warranty on it),
3. That you register the system with Dell AND that Dell has direct support in your transfer market (if your market is supported by dealers only -- not Dell directly -- any support is through the dealer, which may not support systems the dealer hasn't sold).
There are also export laws to consider (one of the terms of sale from Dell USA is that you NOT transfer the system to a market where restrictions apply).

Haven't found anything about the 1st bullet in your list, unfortunately.

So still not sure if I am obligated to buy extra warranty

Call your local Dell support office - they will give you the details. Only an onsite service plan qualifies for transfer - the basic 12-month warranty supplied in the US and Canada (and other places) cannot be transferred internationally).
