extend a warranty
I'm coming to the end of the twelve month manufacturers warranty and I wondered if anyone out there knows how much it costs to extend it? As far as I can see there's nothing on the website to indicate what it will cost, or whether you can extend it for a year or even longer. Any help would be much appreciated.

You'll need to call for a price. The cost depends on the system model, length of coverage and breadth of coverage. In general, take the cost of a warranty upgrade with the system and multiply by 3 -- if the warranty costs $100 at purchase, it'll be about $300 now.
In general, the only time extensions make economic sense is at purchase -- after that, the cost is high enough you're better off taking the money and setting it aside yourself to pay for any needed repair.
