I will have to rack and install a newly purchased Dell ME 4012 storage array which will be connected to a cisco 9148 switch and then with a two node windows hyperV cluster nodes. I need some help.
- How many IP address do I need for the storage array (management IP) to connect it to from my desktop? Is it two for both controller which means do I have to have to ethernet cable drops for the network?
- Do I have to configure these management IP(s) in the controller? If so where should I do it?
- Do I need any separate IP for the storage manager GUI or is it IP of any controller that I will have to use in the internet to reach the array as in VNX?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!
