Hello xamer,
What I would so is if you haven’t already contacted support & opened a ticket then I would do that. The reason is that with a database issue like what you are experiencing they will need to get some logs form the MD3600f and then try to clear the error. If they can’t get the error to clear then they may need to replace some components to do so.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello xamrekkeb,
When you get a Primary database corruption error what is need is to recover the DacStor on the controller. To do this requires a Storage Analyst & a support bundle from your MD3xxx. Also you need to have an active warranty. The reason is that to recover the DacStor on your controller can cause data lost if done incorrectly.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi,
I have a MD3200I unit and applied Firmware version 8.20.24.60 to both controllers and the first one(0) was successful but the second controller failed and shows old firmware of 7.84.44.60 and NVRAM though was successfully updated to N26X0-820890-008 which both are set to that same version. I can't get this second controller out of In Service mode. This unit is out of warranty but I'm only setting up for client who already purchased an entirely new Dell SAN SAS system with 2 Dell Host Servers this will be setup just for him to have files saved on cluster storage. Any help or direction would be greatly appeciated!
Thanks!

Hello bjurczak,
Did you gather a support bundle before you did the firmware upgrade? What you can do is to try to set the controller back to optimal using SMCLI. Here is the link to SMCLI user’s guide and if you look on page 122 it list out the command to do so. https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/powervault-md3200_cli-guide_en-us.pdf
Here is the command that is listed on page 122 as well. To change the operational mode of a RAID controller module, run the following command:
set controller [(0 | 1)] availability=(online | offline | serviceMode)
Once it is out of service mode then try to run the firmware update again to see if it completes.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
