I have a problem with emc x1e dell cx300
I lost access to the controller.
I try to act according to instructions:
"You must use a serial connection for the following procedure to work:
Establish a PPP connection to one of the storage processors (SPs).
Point your browser to this URL: http: // 192.168.1.1/setup
Click "Add a New Account."
Enter a user name and in the New Password Verification text box, type in the password again.
Click "Restart Management Server."
but there is a problem at the stage of creating a PPP connection.
It does not pass the test username and password.
What username and password Standard is on the PPP connection?
I've tried:
admin/password123#
clariion/clariion
Administrator/clariion
clariion1992/clariion1992
nothing has come :(

Hello eldalex,
What you were missing is that to access the PPP connection your password is incorrect. It should be clariion/ clariion! & that will make the connection. I see that you were able to figure it out but wanted to put this out there just in case anyone else needs it.

I also have the same issue above, except that clariion / clariion! also does not work.
The connection goes from dialing --> opening port --> Verifying username and password --> ...nothing (error 721) The computer did not respond. Any ideas?

Hi, i am working to resume funcionality of my Dell Emc X1E +. This device was power off for many years and never worked. I can observe that any sps are blinking amber led every 4 second indicating bios activity (from troubleshooting guide).
I have problem to estabilsh ppp connection because i did'nt find any Dell's official serial cable. I have question about cache battery. I did'nt find inside sps board and power supply.
