Migrating CX500 Shelf to Another CX500 Environment
Hello Dell People,
We have two EMC SAN environments which we purchased from Dell. We want to move one of the SAN's to our DR site. But there are shelves which have data on there which we would like to move over to the other shelf.
Is it a simple case of moving the shelf or is there more involved.
Please let me know what you think or if you need any more information.

You'd have to back up your data, destroy all luns and raidgroups on the enclosure (don't forget to unbind the hotspare). Now you disconnect the enclosure. If you're on Navisphere release 24 you can restart the management server on both storage processors to clear the ghosted enclosure.
Now you can set the enclosure ID for this enclosure to meet your needs for the other array and connect it using the Navisphere Service Taskbar (wizard). Then you can recreate the raidgroups and luns and restore your data.
