DDBoost restore question

Hello,

Question about DDBoost - I've got an Oracle database that is backing up to a local Data Domain array using the DDBoost client.  Is it possible to read the data off the Data Domain without the DDBoost client and perform a restore?  I assume yes based on my understanding of the DDBoost client because while it makes the backups more efficient by not sending duplicate blocks to the DD, those blocks are still referenced by the pointers on the array.  This would mean even with a non-DDBoost NFS client reading data from the array, the DD will hydrate the data properly and the client will be able to read it.

Can someone confirm this assumption?  Thank you!

-Dave
