OpenManage Entreprise 3.9 & mail alerting

Hello Folks,

I'm trying to configure my OME VM for auto-send mail on Server issue.
I have successfully configure the test-mail in & out of our factory mail.

My problem is in the auto mailing process : i'm not receiving any alert mail on server alert.
Here is my config :

I had almost 10 issues on server during this week and i received absolutely nothing.
Could someone help me ? I" can't understand why it's not working.. and it's turning me crazy !

If that is the case then it is likely that the alert category isn't selected in OME to send alerts, from the screenshot you sent previously you only had two categories selected, but doesn't reflect what is selected in the subcategories. To confirm, what I suggest is that you select all then try to trigger the alert again and it should send.

I had responded on your posting here, but to elaborate beyond that I would need to know the issues that occurred, as they may not be included in the alerts seeing that you only had 2 categories selected.

Hello Chris,
Thanks for your concern.
I manage almost 1k server (mix of gen 13/14/15) from OME and i need to send mail alert on each hardware issue on them. I'll tried to configure OME for doing that but i'm not receiving anything except test mail. And i realy don't understand why.

did you tried to configure SMTP address as shown in this guide, first?

Hello Marco,

Yes, of course.
I'll use my factory SMTP IP without Authent, SSL or Login..
Auto-test mails works fine & don't use snmp trap or syslog either. 

There are two possible reasons with Test emails working.

The alerts you're getting do not fall under the checkboxes in those categories, or it would be if OME is not receiving SNMP traps for the issues.

 

Are the hardware events showing up in the Alert logs in OME?

Yes, all my alerts & errors are logged in OME "alert tab"
