OME 1.2.1 on Windows 2012 R2
Can OME 1.2.1 be installed new on a 2012 R2 server?
I cannot seem to get past the ASP.NET Framework requirements in the prerequisites screen. Trying to install from teh prereqs doesn't work - it flips back to the prereq screen very quickly. I've installed .NET 3.5 Framework from Server Manager, but that doesn't get me past that issue.
Anyone been able to get this to work?

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
Current OME version does not support installing on 2012 R2. This support will be added in the upcoming version.
You can look at the support matrix for the current version at the following location:

It is difficult to forecast the exact release dates. We are looking into a newer version for first quarter next year.

I fixed my issue by ensuring that all .Net v4 (x86 + X64) redist code on the server was up to date with the latest versions. In my situation the x64 was out of date as compared to the x32 version. I trued them up and got the patch installed.

Anybody ever manage to get it to install on 2012 R2? Mine just sits there on the screen for checking prerequisites.

Has anyone found a way to bypass asp checker? Is there a regedit to allow install to pass prerequisite check?
Verified 3.5/4.5 installed and default app pool has 2.0/4 listed.
Would really like to get this installed on 2012 R2. This is a lab, so willing to break stuff.

You also need to remove some rows from the CustomAction Essentials.msi file. You can do so with Orca.
I think the caOMILCheckPreReqs and caOMILPreReqCheck rows will suffice.
I also removed some LaunchConditions and Properties.

This got me to the exact same place, did you figure out what the missing prerequisite is?
