Newbie Help

Hi

I have downloaded and installed DRMInstaller_3.2.0.508_A00.bin on a centos 7 box - which has no graphics - ie no X.

I have setup  lighthttpd to redirect port 80 to local port 8090.

But I get a 404 when trying to connect.

wondering how do I use the beast now . isn't there some sort of web interface to manage access it

Hello,

What are you looking to accomplish? Repository Manager is used for creating update repositories, which can either be used directly, or used as a resource for other Dell management utilities. OpenManage Server Administrator has a web UI and is used for server management, so that may be more in line with what you're looking for. I haven't heard of Repository Manager being used remotely, however.

So I have a OME appliance setup and I would like to point to the DRM so I can keep specific catalogs From the doco this is meant to be available : HTTPS://IP Address or hostname/api/DRMInventoryService I have tried this and its not. I see that an app starts and listens on port 8090 but only on local host. So I installed lighthttd and reverse proxied to it. but when i point my browser there I get 404 and when wget 127.0.0.1:8090 I get a 404. I would have thought I would have seen some sort of graphic / web interface Read some more there is talk of only accepting https my current proxy is http - could that be the issue !?

It may very well be, some our stuff is going to be particular about HTTP vs HTTPS. I haven't tried this specific combination, but I would definitely recommend trying HTTPS, if you can.
