I've Dell Optiplex GX280. I want to know,"What is the part no of motherboard?".On the motherboard it is CN-0K7974-70821-55E-30F6
REV A02. As on Dell Chat person has been given me "part no GG555" for motherboard of Dell Optiplex GX280.
Now I'm confused.Is it the same part with different no.?
So I am requesting for help.Waiting for immediate help.:emotion-43:

There are five different versions of the GX280, Mini Tower, Small Mini Tower, Small Desktop, Desktop and the Small Form Factor.

K7974 is the motherboard part number for this 2004 system.

Should I replace 0K7974 motherboard with GG555 motherboard?

GG555 is the A05 version of K7974, so it will be fine.

it has a service tag > [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy].It is desktop computer. It is OptiPlex GX 280.It is out of warranty.It's Amber light is not turning in to green.I'm not able to push power button to start the computer.I've two/2
OptiPlex GX 280,facing the same problem. Another desktop computer has service tag > [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy].
Technical persons are saying i've to change motherboards of Computers,but they are not available With Dell India.Motherboards are available with Dell US but they did not ship in India. What should I do?

You will need to search for the motherboard part number on India parts sites. Or find a friend in the USA to ship them to you.

These are all over Ebay with boards starting at $15 and complete systems at $50 -- you may be able to find a seller in India there.
Make sure the seller guarantees the boards will have no bad capacitors - this model had a very high incidence of faulty capacitors and being 10 years old won't have helped that situation.
