2.5" to 3.5" drive bay bracket for Dell XPS 410

I'm considering getting a solid state drive. Is there a 2.5" to 3.5" drive bay bracket that will accommodate the Dell XPS 410's blue hard drive attachment?

The official Dell way to do this is R494D.

Converts 2.5 inch drive back to 3.5 inch so that the standard drive caddy works.

Did this end up working out?

You had a concern with "whether the drive will extend long enough so that its connections reach the edge of the converter so I can connect the cables to it"

Looking at purchasing the Silver Stone since the last adapter I got didnt work.

Thanks

The Dell part snaps into the 3.5 inch blue plastic mounting like a matruska doll. Both the Dell and Silverstone adapters accomodate 2 drives where a single 3.5 inch drive would go.

The Silverstone adapter SDP08 has all the mount points of a standard 3.5" hard drive, and it's only $8 with free shipping. It holds two 2.5" devices stacked.

The Optiplex  R494D 2.5 inch caddy fits inside the DN8MY 3.5 inch blue caddy.

So the SSD Adapter caddy is 0R494D
