Hi MHLucky88,

Both of these models have the four diagnostic lights. That would be the first thing to check.

If they both started doing the same thing at around the same time, and they're on a network. I'd be suspecting malware.

Can you boot in Safe Mode? Reboot, press F8 and select Safe Mode.

What happens if you reboot, press F8 and pick "Last known good" from the menu, instead of Safe Mode?

the xps gets 123 lit but not 4 telling me its a general error with the card (which have been not only checked but i tried different video cards as well)  and with both pc's it happened at different times so not thinking malware

Lights 1,2,3 on and 4 off indicate "another failure has occurred". The recommended steps are:

• Ensure that the cables are properly
connected to the system board from
the hard drive, CD drive, and DVD
drive (see page 64).
• If there is an error message on your
screen identifying a problem with a
device (such as the floppy drive or hard
drive), check the device to make sure it
is functioning properly.
• The operating system is attempting to
boot from a device (such as the floppy
drive or hard drive); check system
setup (see page 99) to make sure the
boot sequence is correct for the devices
installed on your computer.
