9600GT for Dimension 5150?

Im thinking of getting leadtek PX9600gt for my 5150. My computer is presently using the stock power supply. Will my power supply be able to support?

If the 9600gt is not a good buy which graphic card should i get instead?

I have upgraded my ram to 3gb and added another HDD. How will it affect the power consumption?

Or should i just stick to my Leadtek 7600gt for the time being?

xia0,

I am not sure if your 305w power supply can handle that video card. You might want to get the validated nVidia GeForce 6800 256MB PCI-E x16 video card. Hopefully, other users can post their results.

I have recently upgraded video card (HIS 3650 HD from ATI Radeon, Zalman isilence III) of Dell dimension 5150. This card require only 300Watt power and 0dB sound. It is working excellent for both HD video editing and games.
