AC/DC Power suppy for SFF's
Hello,
My company has 10,000+ desktops and we are in the process of refreshing them all with Dell SFF SX280's and GX620's
Most have arrived with the AC/DC converter models
ADP-220AB B (P/N Y2515) and
D220P-01 (P/N M8811)
We also use a program to automatically shut the Desktops off every night to save electricity.
My question is, with the AC/DC converters, is there a difference on the power draw when the PC is on or off.
If so does anyone know exactly what the draw to the power converters is on each of the models while the PC's are turned on or off.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Hi golfcourse,
Thanks for the post. Our sales team should be able to help you with your request and can be contacted via the methods below. There are several Power supply models available for the OptiPlex 745 system line so noting the chassis type or current PSU part number should help sales get you a quote for the correct part.

Is this USFF Power Brick? These are no longer sold by dell but you may find them on Amazon or Ebay.

Hi I am posting this in case it is useful to others:
I have an Optiplex SX280 desktop, but I ended up losing the original power supply that came with it (written on the back "For use with adapter model DA-2"). However I have been able to power the machine using a 6-pin PCI-E power connector from a standard ATX power supply!
Use at your own risk, only if you can't afford the replacement adapter
