Acronis TI 11-8053 on XPS One

Acronis provides means to make a recovery boot disc to restore images if Windows gets zapped and won't run. I installed Acronis on my XPS One and created the disk. Problem is the disc gets no further than the start-up screen and my wireless mouse and keyboard don't function.

I also have Acronis TI 11-8053 installed on my Inspiron 1705 laptop and the recovery disc functions perfectly on the laptop. I use a USB mouse on the laptop.

Is the problem with the wireless mouse & keyboard?

The boot disk (Linux based) does not have drivers for wireless accessories. You'll have to use a USB mouse or a USB keyboard.

I recently moved from Acronis to ShadowProtect Desktop.

It uses Windows drivers and not Linux.

I'd try that.

You don't want to have an issue not knowing whether things will restore when you're in trouble.

Also, look in the BIOS and try to find "DOS Legacy," or something like that, and turn it on.

That helped one of my systems USB keyboards.
