Additional memory not recognized

I tried adding 2 different sticks of memory to the 8gigs already in the Inspiron 3650 I have and neither are recognized. This mobo has 2 slots. The first was a 2gig SK Hynix, the 2nd is a G Skill 4gig. Both have the same specs as the 8gig SK Hynix that came with this pc listed below. These are both used but verified working sticks. I tried booting each stick by itself but all I get is the power light flashing twice with no boot. What am I missing?

Non-ECC
Dual rank, unbuffered
8 Gig
1600 MHz (PC3-12800)
1.5 V
DDR3 SDRAM - DIMM 240-pin

RE: Additional memory not recognized

Hi 68FoMoCo,

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum.

Memory modules type supported on Inspiron 3650 is DDR3L and the above 8 GB memory module is DDR3.

Please check with a DDR3L module and see if the system boots normally.

It Supports 2GB, 4GB and 8GB DIMMs, up to 16GB total.

RE: Additional memory not recognized

Upon further investigation it looks like the 3650 uses 1.35v and the sticks I tried are both 1.5v.
