How can I find out what BIOS version I am running on my computer? I would like to know if I need to update.Thank you very much!
It's always handy to include the computer model, in a post.
The BIOS version is usually listed in the System Setup, or download Piriform Speccy, that has the same info, listed under 'Motherboard'.
Hello Shesagordie, I have a XPS 8700 Desktop, I went to system setting and it doesn't say anything about what BIOS I have. I do not know what Piriform Speccy is so I don't think I will download that. Seems like there would be a place on my computer that says everything installed on here or when I boot up my computer. Thank you anyways for your response Shesagordie.
To enter the XPS 8700 System Setup, push F2 on startup, when prompted.

Dell Note about the above: Depending on your computer and installed devices, the items listed in this section may appear, or may not appear exactly as listed.
Speccy is a handy free system information utility, that I have been using for many years, without any issues.
