Broken headphone plug in audio jack.
I did post in general hardware but still no fix for this problem.
Half the plug from my headphone's is broken and still in the audio jack,I have tried super glue and other ways to remove but to no avail,I do have logtech speakers but can not get any sound from them,is there away to get at the back of the audio jack to punch part out the front,or will I have to replace the whole darm thing I'm desperate.
I have a Studio Dest top slim 540s
Paul.

The jacks are normally enclosed. You would have to "break" open the jack to get to the read of it. If there is a separate cable from the front panel to the motherboard for the front panel headphone and mic jack, you can unplug this cable from the motherboard, temporarily, and that should allow the rear to work. You can then get a new front panel I/O assembly and replace it.
HERE
is the Dell on-line manual and how to replace parts. You should be able to get the front panel I/O assembly from Dell spare parts. Click Me

The audio jack on the Back or on the front?
If its the front the panel board can be replaced.
If on the back the motherboard would need to be replaced.

Hi firebird have studied the on line manual and will have a go removing the I/O panel to see if I can remove headphone part,if not will get a replacement panel so one way or the other should be able to fix this problem.
Many thanks.
