Business: No 3D card in anything less than XPS ??

The Dell online store is totally bizarre in how it limits choices for buying.

It appears that it is impossible to get a 3D card factory shipped with any Optiplex desktop model, and the only one with that option is the XPS 8700.

Meanwhile the only 3D option for the XPS 8700 is an NVidia 635 GT, which from my research is a basic card that doesn't even require additional PCI-E power plugs.

And the 635 GT is a low-profile card so it will fit both an Optiplex SFF and Optiplex Midtower, using a low-profile bracket.

WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT TO ORDER?

Why do the Optiplex motherboards come with any slots, if Dell sells nothing to plug into any of them?

It's so frustrating and annoying to buy from Dell.

You might do better re-posting this in the Customer Care or What Do I Buy forum.

Keep in mind that very few people on these forums are Dell employees. Most of us are volunteers and we can't fix this kind of problem, even if we fully understand your complaint.  :emotion-5:
