Is it possible to upgrade my cpu on the dell optiplex 755 to a intel core i5 750 processor

No you cant install a core I3 I5 I7 on an optiplex 755.

Best possible upgrades for the TOWER are the Core2 Quads.

Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6000 Series is officially supported.
