Can I change Dell Inspiron 3847 Processor?

Where can I find the mother board specs for the Inspirion 3847 ? I am thinking about replacing the G3220 with a Core i5-4670T. Specs show it should be 99% quicker than than the present G3220. I want to confirm the MB can handle the chip. 

(If you change your cpu its not covered under the warranty.) Don't care about the warranty, it was a cheap pc so that is not an issue.

 (No Idea how you get 99% faster unless you are using the Mhz myth.) This was simply quoted on this site, cpu-upgrade.com. If it is true,fine if not oh well. They listed about 40 chips that might work in a 1150 slot.  

I have added a video card, 8 gb Ram, and the machine is still a bit slow. So for $200 bucks appears to be a simple and cheap/easy upgrade to a quicker machine. 

Any other suggestions ? 

a bit late but just found this post, but I am also upgrading my CPU to the I5 4690k and did find out my Motherboard is a 088DT1 and can be googled a good program to found out specs is Speccy it gives a lot of info on installed parts Gpu,Cpu,MoBo, memory etc...

You post is timely as i have yet to upgrade my chip and have been suffering with my 3220. I will download Speccy and see what I come up with.

There is no such model I5 4790k

Core I7 4790k works fine. But wont be covered under warranty.

if you look again I did not say I5 4790k but the I5 4690k and there is such a cpu

Ah I see my mistake.   However the Generation and Socket 1150 are the important part.

Its wierd that socket 1156 and 1155 are OLDER than 1150 and the latest 2011 goes the other way with more pins. The issue remains that all of the questions were answered over a year ago.
