Combining hardware/ desk top

I have a Inspiron 2400 and a Dimension 4100. I'm wondering there is any point to cannabilizing the the 4100 and adding it ti the 2400  ie hard drive video card ( for  dual monitors ) ? mother board etc etc.

Thoughts ,comments, questions , dirty jokes?

You could use the hard drives and the optical drives.

Power supply, no.  The 4100 is a Dell proprietary unit and the Dimension 2400 standard ATX.

Video card, no.  The 4100 is AGP, the 2400 is PCI

Motherboard and processor, no

Memory, no. The 4100 is SDRAM, 2400 DDR.

What is an Inspiron 2400? I don't see such a model listed under Inspiron desktops. There's a Dimension 2400...

Dell typically uses custom connectors between the motherboard and front panel on desktops. So it's unlikely you'd be able to connect the 4100 motherboard to the panel in the other case.

The 4100 uses EIDE hard drive and I presume a PC in Inspiron series would use SATA hard drives. The 4100 probably uses a PCI video card and I presume -since I don't know what an Inspiron 2400 is, the 2400 probably has a PCI-e video card slot...
