Compact Flash not recognized, and stuck

I have a Studio XPS 8100.  I inserted a compact flash card into the CF/MD drive and nothing has happened.  The light that is supposed to come on when a media drive is in use is not.  The drive does not show up on My Computer.  And now it seems to be stuck as I can't find any way to get the thing back out of the drive.

My primary concern is with getting my card (and photos) back out of the drive.  How do I do that?
