Compatible Power supply unit for Dell Precision T1700
Hi
I am looking to find a replacement 400 watt upwards power supply unity for a precision T1700 - it was a very low power 280 watt spec. The existing one has an 8 pin (p1) connector and a 4 pin (p2) connector. There are no other cables attached to this PSU. The original intention was to purchase this direcly from Dell, however, they do not appear to sell them. I am not totally clear if this PSU is proprietary or whether I can purchase commonly available PSUs and use them. Where I work, precludes my purchasing from places like ebay.
Any help would be appreciated - many thanks!

Please PM us the system tag#.
Depending on the tower, the PSU watts vary.
For a precision hi-tech its 1KW
For Slim tower its 255W
For mini tower it goes upto 365 W.

Unfortunately its completely proprietary. I would look for a Used T3500 which will have a 525W power supply and much more room inside the case.

The part# is 7VK45. Depending on your location, you can either visit Dell Resel Partners or contact Dell Sales.
Where are you located ??
Before you purchase, please try if you can try a 365 W PSU
