Create recovery disk for inspron 570 mini
I am trying to create my system recovery disk for my new dell inspron 570 minitower. When I get to the point it tells me to "Insert blank recordable disk now" then i close the dvd drive it will not start recording it just opens the drive and will not burn. I have trided DVD-R DVD+R and get the same thing. I need help I would like to create the recovery disk sometime today.LOL

The same thing happened to me. I never got it to work as it should. I used Win 7 and got it done in a few minutes with no problems at all. Give that a try.

I meant Windows 7. But whatever version of Windows you are using will have built in backup and recovery options. It will make a recovery disc with the hassels of Dell Data Safe Local. The discs serve the same function.

I am having the same problem. After inserting the DVD-R as instructed nothing happens. The symbol just keeps spinning showing no indication that a process has begun. Can anyone out there help with this? thanks, JB
