Do you have to upgrade the power supply to go with the Q8400?  I have the same computer and would like to do some video editing with it.  Stang94 you upgraded the graphics card was that because you needed for gaming? My 537 is bone stock right now running Vista 64bit.  I need to upgrade because I just bought an hd camcorder and would like to edit some videos but don't want to buy anything that's not needed.  Any info you or anyone else can give would be great.

TIA,

Jamar

looking at the recommended processors, i assume an e6600 core 2 duo would work fine?

Hi, Desperately need to upgrade system on a tight budget. Was wondering if this processor:

Intel BX80571E5700 Pentium Dual Core E5700 Processor - 3.00GHz, , Socket 775, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB, Wolfdale, Dual Core, would be compatible with the Dell Inspiron 537MT. Thanks in advance!

I am also interested to know if the Pentium Dual Core E5700 will work with the Inspiron 537. It has nearly identical specs, besides speed, compared to the e5400, but was released in 2010. Will the bios support a processor released a year later?
